Ariadna Font Llitjós - IBM

Ariadna Font Llitjós is a UX Lead at IBM’s Big Data division, where she is spearheading the adoption of user-centric design and development, under IBM’s new Design Thinking initiative. In addition to managing a development team, she both practices and teaches Lean UX methods to empower teams and help them gain shared understanding, focus and improve communication.

She is an active member of the Agile, Lean, and Kanban communities, and both spoke and ran workshops at last year’s Agile and ALE conferences.

In her previous life, her research focused on improving Machine Translation quality and accuracy by developing a largely automated approach that used online post-editing feedback to refine translation rules. She obtained her Ph.D. in Language and Information Technologies at the Language Technologies Institute in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University (August 2007).
